How is monthly cost computed?
Cost per request = (input tokens ÷ 1,000,000 × input $/1M) + (output tokens ÷ 1,000,000 × output $/1M) + any per-request fee. Monthly cost multiplies that by your request volume (or by requests × 30 if you enter a daily volume).
What does blended pricing mean?
Blended $/1M uses a 3:1 input-to-output mix: (3 × input + 1 × output) ÷ 4. The calculator uses your exact token counts instead, which is more accurate for your workload.
Are these prices the same as buying from OpenAI or Anthropic directly?
Prices come from OpenRouter’s live model list and may include a small gateway markup. For large production spend, confirm against each provider’s official API price sheet.
